Job Description: Senior Sales Engineer

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will interact with prospects and customers by providing product demonstrations, deployment setup and configuration guidance, and technical support to the sales team on calls regarding our security-focused software products. We believe our Sales Engineers should take a consultative approach with prospects to quickly discern their true technical needs. This approach includes asking detailed and clarifying questions and presenting solutions that target those needs. You will need to utilize a combination of technical savviness and business insight to achieve success and earn the status of trusted advisor. You will be tasked with advising a diverse set of customers on what is possible using the PortalGuard IAM Platform. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Product demonstrations and proof of concepts
- Customer deployment setup and configuration
- Customer configuration design
- Technical support on sales calls
- Independently train BIO-key partners on our solution and value proposition
- Travel to tradeshows and customer locations (typical travel ~10%)

Technical Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Cloud technology
- Experience deploying and configuring Identity solutions is a plus
- An understanding of cyber security best practices and core security concerns within a typical application (network & data encryption, least privilege, authentication vs. authorization)
- Experience with LDAP, SAML, and WS-Federation (OpenID Connect, OAuth is a plus)
- Understanding of Multi-Factor Authentication methods and form-factors
- Familiar with networking architecture and enterprise-level Active Directory deployments and configurations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years pre-sales engineering experience with SaaS/Cloud products
- You are a superior communicator with both business and technical leaders
- An ability to quickly and effectively communicate complex technical concepts via presentation, slides, and whiteboard
- The ability to react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas and solutions for dealing with obstacles
- The position requires confidence, to be comfortable with independent action, initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions
- Helpful to others and emphasis on fast responsiveness to customers and internal teams
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and be self-motivated
- Passion for quality and efficiency
- Authorization to work in the United States without Visa Sponsorship
